Overview of need
Young people referred to Mayesbrook Youth Project often face pressures at home and school and have few free places to meet after school. Our youth work gives them a consistent place to spend time and build relationships with adults they trust.
Historical local context
Two dated indicators help describe the borough context for this fictional example:
- In Census 2021, 62.4% of Barking and Dagenham households were deprived in at least one census dimension. ONS, Census 2021.
